Garden, Harvest, and Christmas Designs
These free printable gift tags have soft watercolor garden pictures: spring flowers, herbs, vegetables, apple orchards, fall harvest, Thanksgiving, and a snowy Christmas garden.
Each sheet prints 8 tags, with "To" and "From" lines and a small circle to punch for a ribbon.
They are just right for jars of homemade jam, a basket of garden vegetables, seed packets, or a plate of Christmas cookies.
Below the tags you will find matching folded gift cards that fold to 3½ x 2½ inches, with room inside for a short note.
Our family farm in Oregon's Willamette Valley is planted in hazelnuts, and a bag of roasted hazelnuts with a handwritten tag is on my list of favorite Christmas gifts to give to friends and family. I hope these tags help you share something from your own garden or kitchen.

Gift Ideas from the Garden
A free printable gift tag turns something simple from your garden or kitchen into a thoughtful present. Here are some easy gifts to tie a tag onto:
- Jams and jellies: Tie a tag around the jar with twine, and add a square of fabric over the lid for a country look.
- Pickles, salsa, and canned tomatoes: Fill a small basket with two or three jars and tuck a folded gift card inside.
- Saved seeds: Put seeds from your best tomatoes, beans, or flowers in small envelopes and tie them together with a tag.
- Dried herbs: Fill small jars with dried basil, oregano, or thyme, or bundle fresh rosemary and lavender with ribbon.
- Nuts and baked goods: Roasted nuts, zucchini bread, or Christmas cookies look festive in a cellophane bag with a tag on top.
- Plants and bulbs: A potted herb, a pot of paperwhites, or a bag of garlic bulbs makes a lovely gift for a gardening friend.
- Teacher and neighbor gifts: Choose the Children in the Garden or Apple Orchard tag for teachers, and the Christmas and Winter Garden tag for holiday plates.
Whatever you give, a pretty tag shows that it came from your own garden and your own hands.
Tips for Printing Your Gift Tags
- Use cardstock: White 65 lb or 80 lb cardstock works in most home printers and makes sturdy tags. Plain paper works too.
- Print at full size: Choose "Actual size" or "100%" in your print settings, not "Fit to page," so the tags come out the right size.
- Cut on the dashed lines: Scissors work best for the rounded corners. A paper trimmer makes quick work of the straight cuts on the folded cards.
- Punch the circle: Use a regular hole punch on the small circle, then add ribbon, twine, or baker's twine.
- Fold the cards: Fold on the dotted line so the picture is on the front and the inside is blank for your note.
- Dress up a jar: Tie a tag around the neck of a jar of jam, salsa, or pickles. For the lid, see our free printable canning jar labels.
- Free for personal use: Print as many as you like for your own gifts. If you share them, please share a link to this page.
