Weeds make great mulch.
by: Anonymous

Weeds always grow where soil is uncovered. It must be natures way of protecting the delicate organisms in the soil from the sun. You can pull them out and lay them on the same place to act as mulch.

Ed. Note:

Just be sure the weeds haven't gone to seed if you are going to use them for mulch.

If they have already produced seeds, the seeds will sprout giving you many more weeds to mulch!

If the weeds have produced seeds, it is best to burn them, or put them in your yard debris can and get rid of them!

Weeds...

Also putting newspaper down instead of plastic will help keep weeds at bay... and it's biodgradable! :)
