This free printable spring garland is a whole spring garden on a string: tulips and a sunflower, a robin and a bee, a bunny with a carrot, a greenhouse, a wheelbarrow full of vegetables, and a red tractor. Print it in watercolor or in black and white for children to color, then cut, punch, and hang it in a classroom or at home.

There are two sets: in color, ready to hang, and color your own, in black and white for children to color. Click any pieces you like from either set. You can even mix them.
Use white 65 lb cardstock. Choose Actual size or Scale 100%, and turn off headers and footers. Cut on the gray lines, punch the two circles with a ¼ inch hole punch, and string the pieces on twine or ribbon.
Every piece also comes as a black and white outline for children to color with crayons, colored pencils, or markers.
Teachers: give each child one piece to color. String them all together, and the class has made its own spring garden garland. It goes well with a spring science unit on seeds and plants.
Every piece on this garland is something you'll find in a spring garden: tulips and sunflowers, a bean plant and carrots, a robin and a bee, the greenhouse full of seedlings, and the wheelbarrow and watering can ready for work.
Spring is planting time. Peas, lettuce, radishes, and carrots can go in as soon as the soil can be worked, and beans and sunflowers follow once the soil warms. See what to plant and when in our spring vegetable garden guide and the seed starting chart.
Grow a bean plant with children. Like the bean plant on this garland, a bean seed sprouts in just a few days. Our bean in a jar experiment lets children watch the roots and leaves grow, and the bees and robins in the garden are a good reason to plant a few flowers between the vegetables.
