Planting Onion Sets

Do I peel the little onions first or stick them in the ground "as is"?

Hi Mel,
You do not need to peel the onion sets before planting. Just put them in the dirt with the pointed end facing upward.

I usually cover my onion sets with just enough dirt that you can't see them. But they should be near the surface.
