Onion Tops

My onions are really tall. When the tops bend over, should I snip them?


ANSWER

When the onion tops bend over, it means that the plants are mature, and have finished growing. You can wait another two weeks after the tops bend over before harvesting your onions.

I wouldn't snip the tops until after the onions are harvested, and the tops have completely dried.
